Dr. Rikesh Kumar Dubey’s research centers on the pathophysiology of sickle cell disease and other hematological disorders characterized by vascular and thrombo-inflammatory complications, including polycythemia. His work focuses on sterile inflammation, platelet activation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and endothelial cell biology to understand mechanisms underlying vascular complications. He explores molecular pathways driving thrombo-inflammatory responses and aims to identify novel translational therapeutic targets. He is actively involved in biomarker discovery and the development of inflammation-driven disease models with an emphasis on translational and clinical applicability.
